RULE 62:
Don’t take yourself so damn seriously.

I have not always strived to do my best or push myself beyond that. I’ve had a few moments where I did—which were the glory days. But to push beyond my best, well, that takes a lot of energy, attention and diligence. And I must say I’m lazy and sometimes afraid to try and do what I could to achieve my dreams. I don’t think I’m any different than anyone else.

To be great at something takes courage and acceptance that failure is part of the process, even if failure freaks you out like most of us. It can paralyze you, and then you do nothing.

Nothing brings nothing, except the passing of time that you will never get back.

I have traveled millions of miles in my head, thousands of miles physically, and found that all I had to travel was 12 inches. That’s the distance between my head and my heart.

Listen to your heart – it will tell you what you want and where you want to go. Then use your head to get there.

In Lak’ech Ala K’in — I am you, you are me, we are one.  (Mayan)
